Pro-Vas Occlusion - A Less-Invasive Alternative to Vasectomy
Develped in China in 1974, the No-Scalpel-Vasectomy was introduced to the United States in 1985. Since then, a much higher percentage of men have been willing to have a vasectomy as a means of permanent contraception. There is something about the idea of surgery on one’s scrotum that tends to squelch men’s enthusiasm for taking over the task of birth control. To the degree that less invasive approaches are introduced, more and more men will be willing to take responsibility for contraception in their relationships.
Now 25 years after the introduction of the No-Scalpel Vasectomy in the United States, another innovation is further reducing the level of trauma that men must undergo in order to achieve permanent birth control. This innovation is called; Pro-Vas™ Occlusion. Pro-Vas Occlusion eliminates the need to cut or cauterize the sperm duct (vas deferens) in order to block the passage of sperm. By allowing men to keep their anatomy intact, it is expected that many more men will step forward.
The Pro-Vas device is based on well proven titanium spring ligation clip technology that has been used for many years in applications such as the ligation of neuroaneurysms. These positive-pressure clips keep the vas deferens (“vas”) occluded independent of swelling or movement.
There’s never been a better time to choose the No-Scalpel, No-Scissors, No-Cautery Vasectomy by Pro-Vas Occlusion. BIRTH CONTROL
