Effectiveness

 

Pro-Vas Occlusion is a relatively new procedure. Clinical studies are currently underway to demonstrate the effectiveness of Pro-Vas as compared with other approaches for male sterilization. Initial interim results from one key study that is currently ongoing are extremely encouraging with more than 40 patients treated all achieving azoospermia (no sperm present) on semen analysis at 8-weeks with no complications reported and noticeably less discomfort both during and after the treatment. 
Note that at this time; the effectiveness of using the Pro-Vas applier for permanent male sterilization has not been evaluated in comparison to standard vasectomy procedures.
